Royal Oak strives to provide our goalkeepers with top-quality training. Our goalkeeper sessions are designed to improve our goalkeepers' technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of the game. Goalkeeper training will be offered in fall, winter, and spring, allowing our goalkeepers to continue to grow throughout the entire year. These sessions are offered in addition to our goalkeeper’s individual team training.

Our Goalkeeping program is run by our Goalkeeping Director, Doug Cardosi. Coach Doug has over 30 years of experience at every level and is currently the ODP region 2 goalkeeping recruiter. He is an integral part in the advancement of the club philosophy to learn the game from back to front starting with a position of key importance.

Our Goalkeeping DNA focuses on the 4 key pillars of the position: Technical, Tactical, Mental, and Physical aspects of the game. During the season we will focus on handling, set position, collapse and extension dives, tipping, and parrying, high balls, distribution, footwork, angles, 1V1’s, dealing with set pieces, and organization.

For our premier players, coach Doug will be conducting goalkeeper training throughout the season, and goalkeepers are encouraged to attend in addition to regular team training sessions.
